Registration & eligibility
PETET (Purvanchal Educational Trust Entrance Test) is a year-round, on-demand online entrance test conducted by Purvanchal Educational Trust. It is your gateway to the Trust's Tuition Waiver Scholarship Program and to admission at partner colleges across India. You can register and appear for the test on any day of the year.
PETET 2026 is meant for students of class 11th and 12th, and for candidates seeking admission to Technical courses (B.Tech, Diploma, BCA, MCA, Polytechnic, Pharmacy, Nursing, B.Sc.) or Non-Technical courses (BBA, B.Com, BA, B.Sc. Non-Technical, B.A. LL.B., B.Ed., MBA). You choose which of the two papers you sit when you register. If you are under 18 you register with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you are not sure whether you are eligible for a particular course, please ask our help desk before you pay — the registration fee is not refundable once your application is submitted.
To register you need only your mobile number (for the OTP), your date of birth, your father's and mother's name, and your full address with state and district. Aadhaar is optional; if you give it, it is stored encrypted and shown only as the last 4 digits. Your photograph and signature are NOT needed to register — you add them from your dashboard after you have paid, and a photo taken on your phone is fine because large images are resized automatically. Both are needed before your admit card can be issued, so please add them well before the admit-card release date.
The OTP is a 6-digit code valid for 10 minutes. Wait for the 60-second cooldown and then use "Resend OTP". Check that the mobile number you entered is correct and that your phone has network coverage. You get 5 verification attempts per code; after that the code expires and you must request a new one.
Fees & payment
The registration fee for PETET 2026 is Rs. 500, the same for the Technical and the Non-Technical paper. The amount is always shown on the payment step before you pay, and that displayed amount is the authoritative one. Payment is online (UPI, card, net banking or wallet) and is handled entirely by our payment gateway — we never see or store your card number, CVV or UPI PIN. Your application number is issued as soon as the payment is confirmed.
No. The registration fee is not refundable once your application has been submitted and the payment confirmed, because your application number is issued and your place in the session is reserved at that moment. There are three exceptions, and we handle all of them: if you were charged twice, we refund the extra charge in full; if money left your account but your application was not confirmed, it is either completed automatically or released back to you within 5 to 7 working days; and if the Trust cancels the examination without rescheduling it, the fee is refunded in full. Please read the full Refund & Cancellation Policy on this website, and do not pay a second time if a payment seems to have failed — contact the help desk first.
Examination & mock tests
PETET is an online computer-based test: 100 multiple-choice questions, 120 minutes, 1 mark per question and NO negative marking. Technical paper: Mathematics 25, Physics 25, Chemistry 25, Logical Reasoning 15, General Awareness 10. Non-Technical paper: Logical Reasoning 30, Quantitative Aptitude 30, English 20, General Awareness 20. Question order and option order are randomised for every candidate.
Every registered student gets 2 free mock tests. A Premium Mock Pack of 3 additional papers is available for Rs. 30. Mock tests use the same exam player as the real PETET, and after a mock you can review the correct answers with explanations — which you cannot do for the real exam.
Your answer sheet is evaluated the moment you submit. The result is published to your dashboard within 2 hours of submission (the standard publication delay is 90 minutes), and you also receive an SMS and an email. You can then download your scorecard PDF, which carries a QR code for public verification.
Your answers are saved on the server continuously while you write, so nothing you have already answered is lost. The countdown is controlled by the server, not by your browser, so refreshing or reconnecting does not reset or extend your time. Log in again and you resume the same paper from where you left off, on the same question set.
No. Each registered candidate gets one attempt at the real PETET in a session. Mock tests can be attempted more than once. In exceptional cases (for example a verified technical failure) the Trust may grant a re-attempt; every such grant is recorded in the audit log.
Scholarship & admission
Score 40 or more out of 100 and you qualify for a 100% tuition waiver under the Purvanchal Educational Trust Tuition Waiver Scholarship Programme. There are no partial slabs — it is a flat 100% waiver on tuition fees for every candidate who reaches the qualifying score. Your qualification status is printed on your scorecard. After qualifying, the next steps are document verification, then admission and college allocation at a partner college. The waiver applies to tuition fees at a participating partner college; it is not paid in cash and is not transferable.
